Kirstie Wyss

Kirstie is based in Invercargill and has over 15 years of experience in resource management. She combines a legal background with planning and regulatory expertise to deliver practical and defensible outcomes for clients. She advises public and private sector clients on consenting, plan and policy documents, and regulatory matters.

Kirstie has worked extensively with regional councils, including on plan and policy development and the regulation of farming activities, and has undertaken senior secondments in council consenting and enforcement teams. She builds capability within council teams by providing training and guidance to council staff, advising leadership teams, and suggesting improvements in regulatory practice. This experience gives her unique insight into regulatory decision-making, plan implementation, and the challenges councils face in applying evolving regulatory requirements.
