Andrew Maclennan

Andrew is based in Christchurch and has more than 15 years of planning experience. He has broad experience preparing and processing complex resource consent applications for district and regional councils, as well as preparing resource consent and concession applications for public and private sector clients. More recently, he has assisted with the processing of applications under the Fast-track Approvals Act 2024.

Andrew has particular expertise in coastal planning and has worked extensively on district and regional policy and plan development. His experience includes provision drafting, policy evaluation and analysis, evaluation reports, hearing reports, and involvement in council and Environment Court hearings. He is skilled at working across multidisciplinary teams and providing clear, practical planning advice on complex consenting and policy matters.
